Western ditty

Yesterday I’m listening to Julio and Willie.  I’ve got my fourth sore throat of the winter.  I can hardly breathe and my ears won’t pop.  I’m stuffy, achy, and downright cranky.  All I need is a guitar and I’ve got the makings of a great Western hit.

To all the colds I’ve had before
Who travelled in and out my door
I wish they’d go away
I’ve used all my sick pay
To all the colds I’ve had before

To all the drugs I now ingest
And may I say I’ve had the best
To help my nose to blow
While forgetting all I know
To all the drugs I now ingest

The winds of germs are always blowing
And every time I try to stay well
The winds of germs continue blowing
And they just make my sinus swell

To all the friends who shared their colds
That now on someone else unfolds
I’m sad the colds came along
I dedicate this song
To all the friends who shared their colds

To all the coughs they shared with me
Who filled my nights with sneeze and wheeze
They live within my chest
I’ll never get some rest
To all the coughs they shared with me

To all the colds I’ve had before
Who travelled in and out my door
I wish they’d go away
I’ve used all my sick pay
To all the colds I’ve had before

Is it possible to catch a cold from reading someone’s blog? I was blaming it all on the 1st graders that I played with on Valentine’s day. We have all had it and are of the firm belief that this was one of the worst colds ever!!!!!! It has kicked my tail and yours, too I see! Feel better.
