Two Twix workout

Yesterday I missed breakfast.  On purpose.  It was the dreaded weekly weigh-in at work for our weight loss challenge group.  Not only did I miss my morning meal, I selected my clothing very carefully, or should I say very lightly.  I picked up one pair of pants in my right hand, and held another in my left hand.  Then I raised and lowered each arm comparing the weight in each hand.  I wore the lighter pair.

I walked into the office hungry, thirsty, and summer-clad.  After weighing, much to my delight, I’d lost seven pounds in one week.  I’d been a very good little (well, not quite there yet) girl.  You know what they say about the first week — water weight.  Literally.  As strategy before the initial weigh in last week, I’d chugged a gallon of water.  A faint sloshing sound could be heard as I stepped up on the scales.  I’m no American Idol, I have no Voice, and I’ll never Dance with the Stars, but as Randy Jackson says, “I’m in it to win it.”  :-)

On the way down the stairs (no elevator for me), I stopped by the candy bowl and, with no one in sight, sneaked  two Twix bars.

At the noon yoga practice, I balanced, stretched, and mediated with extra zeal — the yoga way of saying I wobbled, pulled something, and sat around close-eyed and crosslegged doing nothing.  Unfortunately, my rear end was still too hefty to get off the ground in a self-generated handstand.  Maybe after a few more weeks of challenge Dawn, the cheery-like-her-name, instructor won’t need to lift my legs up the wall.  On second thought, she probably will.  I think my butt has a fear of heights — the older I get, it just keeps hanging closer to the ground.

Still a wash… definitely a two Twix bar workout.

But were they Peanut Butter Twix? They are the best and you know the peanut butter has lots of protein in it — right??
