Something old, something new

Something borrowed, something blue… all near and dear to my heart.

My youngest son, Cheezy, flew down for a friend’s bachelor party and spent yesterday with us before returning to Utah.  Oft neglected tasks get taken care of when someone comes to visit.  The guest bed is made with a new set of sheets and the guest room walls painted (okay, so that effort was a little excessive).

We drug out an old video of Love Bug for the whole family to enjoy (though it seemed to be the over-40 crowd who watched it).  I tried a new couscous salad recipe (good reviews).  I borrowed my sister-in-law’s recipe for potato salad (and when she arrived, she added the secret ingredient — ah, salt).

And a great family to share it all.  My brother Kelly and his family, the GAP and her family, Coco, and guest of honor, Cheezy.  Everyone doing their own thing — some learning to booty dance, some spinning on the little round blue stool and then trying to walk straight, some experiencing a Superman delusion, and some claiming their “old” roosts, but all laughing and enjoying the evening.

Shake it      Booty dance            Swishing hair   Superman pose

Old roostsThe something blue piece is dropping Cheezy off at the airport this morning.

The Worm looks like she is having a blast — quite the dancer, too! Tell her I really do like the new haircut!
