Okay, so it’s not the Pebble Beach Tournament and a gold cup. Close though, a pink octopus trophy and all you can eat sushi. My sons, Cheezy and Hot Wheelz, entered the First annual Sushi Groove Golf Tournament and won!
“Did you get any pictures?” I asked. What could possibly be more important than a couple of bad photographs?
“No, I couldn’t take any,” said Cheezy. “My new app was using up all the juice in my cell phone.”
“What app?”
“You enter any golf course, and it tracks every shot you make,” he said. He, of course, went into more detail, like stats and clubs, but all I got out of the conversation was that the two brothers were basically playing golf as a paint-by-number kit.
“I made the winning eagle putt,” he bragged. I’d never known Cheezy to be ahead of par. This could be a new start. “But I wouldn’t have had the chance for the putt, if it hadn’t been for Brandon’s two shots. His drive and approach set me up for the eagle.” Wow, again, I’d never witnessed Hot Wheelz’ drive and clean approach. Just kidding. As a parent, your grown kids never cease to amaze you!
Congratulations, boys! I knew you could do it.
