Yesterday on the way to the airport, Cheezy informed me that today Neptune would turn one year old. How could that be? I remember Neptune being a planet in our solar system since forever. Is Neptune female? Lying about her age? So I Googled it. She is actually 60,190 earth days old, or one year on Neptune.
As I near the end of my life and career choices (not that I’m going anywhere soon, but 60-something is definitely closer to the end than the beginning), I wouldn’t mind having another Neptunian year to sort things out. I’d do a few things differently.
I’d be more honest with my feelings, and take more chances on love.
I’d major in a “boy’s” degree – like chemistry, back in the day when degrees were more segregated.
I’d learn to “chill” more and spend more time living.
I’d listen better even when I didn’t really want to know the answers.
I’d fight my demons better.
I’d work harder at following through, actually remembering who was grounded for what.
I’d think before speaking, relinquishing some of my best lines for the sake of the Gipper.
I’d eat slower and dance longer.
I’d keep a better balance between comfort and a clean house.
I’d keep a journal and practice yoga sooner.
I’d cry less, and forgive more.
I’d take better care of my tools that rust when left out.
I’d be less self-absorbed and attend to others’ needs better.
I’d pay better attention to life around me.
I’d search out those friends who make me laugh, and never let them go.
Here’s to today, the start of second Neptunian year. What would you do differently?

I think Mork had it right. Start out old and grow young. Then you would be wise and would do the things you mentioned above.
I’m thinking Neptune has been around a lot longer that 60000 days. That’s only 164 years old. Or am I getting it wrong?
On the other hand, if I were to do things differently during the 2nd Neptunian Year I think I might stop putting things off, and, I might not correct people so often. Maybe I’ll just wait on that resolution until the next revolution.
I’d work harder at communicating. I’m better at communicating on paper or a computer screen than face-to-face. I think my life would have been better if I had worked harder at that.
