Naked and wet

You’d be surprised what you can accomplish wet and naked while alone!  Last night I got a new summer bob (that’s a haircut, not fling).  This morning I decided a color richer than drab would be nice, so while in the tub, I dyed my short hair.  All by myself.  No muss no fuss.  Pick the right color, and I can get an all over body tan at the same time.

This ole’ tub is very versatile.  Over the years it has jetted hot water onto an aching back, provided relief from the outside world (even doubled as a bed a few times when no better escape could be found), and offered a quiet place where dreams are dreamed and plans are planned.

In the bubble bath

The youngest one, years ago

My grandkids love the big roomy Jacuzzi.  They’ve taken bubble baths and finger painted in foam on the tiled wall.  We almost lost the little Worm once in the frothing water.  The idea started long ago.  If I remember correctly, I used bubble bath to reduce the soap scum left from the bath water’s previous occupant.

Floating at swim lessonSpeaking of naked, wet, and alone…  Today I took a lunch break from work and went to see the grandkids’ swim lessons.  Almost naked, and almost alone, the Mouse floated on his back in the Mommy and Me class.  (Actually, the Mouse did float on his own, I just didn’t get the photo.  No surprise there.)  The Bug and the Worm are getting pretty good at jumping from the high dive and getting across the pool on their own, just not in a straight line.

  1. Ahh…just reading this cooled me down. Temps are outrageous today and I have no A/C. (It used to be that A/C wasn’t necessary in Colorado. Darn global warming!)

I got a shorter summer bob, too. Although I didn’t mean to, the stylist just went shorter than I expected.

SO glad to hear you didn’t replace Coupon Man!!! The kids look like they are all having lots of fun. This grandparent gig is just the best!

You mean after someone else had taken a bath, you added bubble bath to the water? Not so effective that way. Or did the bubble bath go in with the first bather?
