This morning I took my grandchildren to a Christmas pageant at church. The Worm and the Bug, sitting at a craft table for children, went about their merry way to complete a picture from a sheet of stickers containing all the necessary cast members for a traditional nativity.
The five-year-old Worm painstakingly removed the stable from the sticky sheet and placed it in the center of a sheet of paper. She lovingly removed the baby in a manger and placed him in the middle of the stable. Then she placed a king’s man on either side of the manger. Definitely more of a modern looking family than I was expecting. Kind of makes you wonder what all we lost when they took Christmas out of public education.
The stars at the top of the sheet formed a pattern, while a radiant star pointed the way. Just then I heard the soft ring of a bell. What d’ya know. Clarence was right. Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.

What a great explanation! I guess you and the Worm got it right!
