Mixing cultures

Marking the eighth day of Hanukkah, Couponman lit the menorah and read the story of Hanukkah to all present before a scrumptious dinner of brisket, noodle kugel, and lots of holiday leftovers.  He read the prayer in Hebrew, after which the Bug read the translation in English.  It was the little Mouse’s first experience celebrating the Jewish holiday of lights.  He saw the glow from the candles, ran up to the menorah and huffed and puffed, blowing out two candles.

That’s what happens when you come from a mixed crowd — using the Hanukkah candles to blow out birthday candles for Jesus. :-)
