So many times we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of just living and forget to look around, and see…
- The winter rain clouds pushing against one another in varying hues of gray, streaked with faint pink and blue, washing the earth and leaving a smell of freshness.
-
The pink magnolia tree in bloom.

- The icemaker, frightened into working once again by bumbling hands who knew nothing about fixin’ anything but a good meal.
- The six pumpkin pies miraculously partaken of without gaining one pound. Okay, so it was three pounds.
- The nine-month-old little Mouse (grandchild #3), who a sober little soul, now raises his hands to comes to me and smiles.
- The end of a holiday weekend, leaving all four strong-willed siblings still speaking to one another, with a fun memory or two added to their collection.
- The friends that adorn my life.
- The guy who puts up with me (and “kisses the ground he has me”). I got that line from my Aunt Piggy.
- The grandkids that make me smile, and feel younger than I am. (See next item.)
- The older body that still dips, bends, and slides with relatively few complaints.
- The car that made it to the gas station this morning on fumes.
Look around. Find your own miracles.

Really good post. Very insightful with just a dash of humor thrown in!

One of life’s biggest problems is that people (most of my children at least) don’t recognize miracles and therefore, forget to be thankful for each little one…..
I love this post! It’s too easy to forget all the things we have to be thankful for.
Could you please come over and frighten my icemaker into working again please??
