Today I was touched as I remembered the 911 tragedy. From the names echoed by loved ones while standing at the stunning memorial at Ground Zero, I understood that this was more than an American tragedy, it was felt worldwide. I am humbled and proud to live in a country that stands for something others with misguided ideals would see a need to destroy.
And on this day, I am honored to attend a church service for a young cousin who willingly gave two years of his life in service of his beliefs.
May we all remember family, country, and service on this day etched into our hearts forever.
